We also focus on supporting owners through life’s tougher moments - behavioural challenges, medical care, or respite support, helping Ridgebacks remain in the homes and hearts they love. How Ridgeback Rescue Began
Ridgeback Rescue was born from a deep love for the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed, and the quiet heartbreak so many of them carry. Through no fault of their own, Ridgebacks find themselves displaced when life takes an unexpected turn, whether that's a relationship breakdown, job loss, homelessness, illness, or losing an owner they loved.
A couple of passionate volunteers came together to rescue, rehabilitate, support and carefully rehome Ridgebacks across Australia. We believe every Ridgeback deserves stability, respect, and the chance to thrive, no matter their past. At RRAINC, we believe strongly that being owned by a rescued or rehomed Ridgeback is a privilege, not a right!
